Truetone 636 (1938)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Truetone 636 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This nice looking AM radio is painted Bakelite and was made by Western Auto Supply in 1938. It is a six tube AM radio with great frequency pickup and awesome sound out of a 5" speaker. As you can see it has five push buttons in the front and a dial knob on the right side. All parts are original to include the cardboard back. It was originally owned by a collector and he preserved the paper work on the bottom with a plastic coating. The original paint on this radio looks pristine from three feet but if you get closer you can see a few very small touchup spots on the top and front. Overall nice shape for a 70 year old radio. Electronically restored to play like new.
