Westinghouse H-126 "Little Jewel" (1945)
(plastic tube table radio)

Westinghouse H-126 "Little Jewel" (1945)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This Westinghouse Refrigerator radio was originally painted ivory. But the case had so many chips on the painted case, I had it re-done in bright Christmas red by a friend in a professional body shop. It's just impossible to get a perfect baked-on finish using spray cans. The radio turned out beautiful. There were no cracks, chips, or hairline cracks before re-painting, just chips in the original paint. The metal pieces are in excellent untouched original condition. These sets were supposedly given away with purchases of Westinghouse refrigerators after World War II. This radio is playing very well, picking up all my local AM stations. It has been completely gone over by a qualified tech, and everything that needed replacing was replaced. The dial lamp lights up behind the brown dial, which is not warped like many are. It would look terrific next to the original colors of ivory, burgandy, light green, and dark green. Cute at 9"H x 6"W x 5"D.
