Zenith 6-D-525 (1941)
(wood tube table radio)

Zenith 6-D-525 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Pre-War Zenith tabletop set. This model number came in a couple of versions. One version had the slatted top, sometimes with a handle and sometimes without. And this version with the nice photo finish on the bottom of each side, and the top & bottom of the front. The grille is a combination of geometric cutouts. This set has its original back and grille cloth, with "Z" knobs. The model number is clearly printed on the bottom. The dial lights up and the dial cover is perfect with a large plastic "Z" dial pointer. The original finish is not perfect, with some scratches on the top and sides, but the set is priced accordingly. These photo finish cases are a little dicey to refinish, as it's very easy to mess up the photo finish. This comes from someone who previously messed up one! The front is in excellent condition. The chassis has been recapped, and the radio is picking up all my local AM stations with no filter hum at all.
