Motorola 49L13Q Portable (1949)
(plastic tube portable radio)

Motorola 49L13Q Portable (1949)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

1949 Motorola portable in a beautiful swirled Catalin-like plastic case. The tan and green models are often mistaken for Catalin, but are in essence molded plastic. Nice shiny brass grille, and all original knobs and handle. The case snaps shut and there are no cosmetic issues at all, no cracks, chips or breaks. The chassis has had all capacitors and resistors and tubes completely checked and replaced where needed. This particular model was battery operated, and here's the best news. It plays fine with two new "D" cells and a 67.5V battery in place, and it will arrive to you with its batteries in the set. So you can take the radio to the beach next summer and listen to your favorite radio station. I don't believe this set in playing condition has ever been offered on the Attic. Midget sized at 7-1/2"W x 6"H x 3"D.
