Sparton 132 (1950)
(plastic tube table radio)

Sparton 132 (1950)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A really nice cranberry red Retro Sparton radio from 1950, nicknamed the "Football" radio for obvious reasons. This is a hard to find color in this model. The cases were made out of plastic, and consequently most of the survivors show a lot of wear. But this case is in very nice condition, with just a few scratches and rubs, but no cracks, tube burns or major cosmetic issues. It does have its original back and original knobs with brass inserts. The chassis has been completely gone over by a professional, and everything needing changing was replaced. The radio is playing really well without any filter hum, picking up all my local AM stations clearly. About 13"W x 6"H x 6"D.
