THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
One of the great designs by Norman Bel Geddes, this RCA Victor is a beautiful little midget table radio from 1939. The Bakelite case is in great shape, shiny and very nicely marbled. The large tan tuning knob and matching small on/off volume control and raised RCA Victor lettering make the Art Deco look just right for 1939. There are no repairs, or cracks, or chips. Everything is original except for the new Retro Tronics back in place. The radio has had its resistance curtain burner line cord replaced with a new AC cord. It is playing fine picking up all my local AM stations clearing with just a pigtail antenna. This set is the Bakelite version of the 1939 Catalin RCA models. The dial light shines through the original perfect dial. A wonderful example of this RCA midget. About 8"W x 5"H x 4"D. |
