Philco A52CK (1940)
(wood tube clock radio)

Philco A52CK (1940)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Pre-War Art Deco Philco clock radio introduced in June 1939 for the 1940 model year. This case has been professionally refinished with toning lacquers and is in excellent condition with beautiful inlay trim. No evidence this model ever had a back. Model number and tube layout label is still inside the case. The Sessions clock is working & keeping time, and the radio is playing picking up all my stronger local AM stations. I am enclosing a length of antenna wire to help with reception, although I don't know who acquires these wonderful pieces of history to listen to them! We all love them to work, but I never recommend constantly listening. Go get something from Wal-Mart for that! This particular model Philco is rarely seen. Philco made this model with a Transitone model TH-4 chassis. According to Ron Ramirez' Philco Radio Website, there is little known about this radio or how many were actually made. About 11"W x 9"H x 6"D. Shipping should run $25-$30 most anywhere in the USA.
